PASSPORT UPDATE

PASSPORT SERVICES AVAILABLE IN THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM  

NEW PASSPORT CARD AVAILABLE:  Not for travel by air; valid for land and sea crossings only between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Card fee for adults $45, and $35 for under age 16.

IT IS TAKING 4-6 WEEKS TO PROCESS ROUTINE PASSPORTS AND 2-3 WEEKS FOR EXPEDIATED PASSPORTS. 

THE BEST ADVICE ON WHEN TO APPLY FOR A U.S. PASSPORT IS,  "APPLY EARLY!" OR EVEN "NOW" IF ONE MIGHT BE CHECKING ON AIRFARES OR HOTELS OUTSIDE THE U.S.
