As Mayor of this great community, I take great pride in the quality of life provided in the City of Flat Rock.  Our City enjoys a reputation for being a great place to live with a proud history and exciting future.

As you look around our website, we are confident that you find Flat Rock is known for its public services, activities, and recreation facilities and programs. Flat Rock is a great place to raise a family and is a thriving community.  New homes and businesses are under construction daily.

Our Community Fields baseball facility is one of the best in the State of Michigan.  As, is our outdoor ice skating rink.  We take pride in knowing we have one of the best recreation programs in the state. 

The Flat Rock Community Center offers a variety of recreational and educational experiences.  The fitness enthusiast will enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness area, gymnasium, walking/running track and aquatic center with zero depth entrance, water slides and a six-lane competitive swim area.  Stone Creek Banquet Hall and meeting rooms offer many options for special events, banquets, weddings, and seminars. 

Our Greenway’s trail runs along Gibraltar Road beginning in Huroc Park and ending at Woodruff Road.  Along this path you will pass the Community Park and Playscape and connect to the Community Fields.  Further east you will wind through the wooded area that surrounds our Community Center.  This Greenways trail will eventually connect Lake Erie Metro Park with our Community Park and continue on to Lower Huron Metro Park.

During my 20 years of service to this community, all our departments, city council and I have strived to improve the quality of life, promote new business and resident opportunities for our residents.
